There is likewise possibility of light snowfall in couple of places in the high hilly and mountainous area Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces in the next 24 hours.Furthermore, there is a possibility of heavy fog in some locations of the Tarai which will affect the life, health, road and air traffic and thus requires safety measure by all the concerned, states the Department.

At present, there is partial change in the weather condition in the sloping locations and fog in the plains of Madhes and Lumbini provinces.According to the latest info provided by the department, the minimum temperature level of Kathmandu Valley today is 4.0 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature level is 19.4 degrees Celsius.

Moreover, today the lowest minimum temperature level has been tape-recorded in Jumla at minus 3.8 degrees Celsius and the greatest temperature of Biratnagar at 24.2 degrees Celsius. Light snowfall most likely in hilly locations Possibility of light rain and snowfall .
